TYPO3 AGENCY COLOGNE: JavaScript

At the start of the internet's spread, providers and users of websites wanted more functionality. Until then, on websites it was only possible to read text, look at images and click links. With the introduction of JavaScript, more interactivity became possible, and new ways of designing pages also emerged. This made mouse-over effects, expandable menus and animated text achievable for the first time. In addition, visitors could now be offered applications directly on the site, such as currency converters or online games.

Most of these applications for JavaScript have since largely been replaced by other techniques such as PHP or CSS, because compatibility and accessibility problems kept occurring. Visitors whose browsers had JavaScript processing disabled saw the respective website displayed only inadequately or sometimes not at all. In addition, JavaScript was frequently used for disadvantageous purposes, such as automatically opening advertising pop-ups and other unwanted manipulations. Nevertheless, JavaScript can be used beneficially today.

If you want to offer visitors to your website a particular service they can use directly on your site, there are usually various ways to implement it. One of these options is JavaScript. To find out which is the best way to implement your idea for your web presence, ask Einmahl WebSolution GmbH.
