What is MCP (Model Context Protocol)?
MCP is an open standard that lets AI assistants work securely with external systems. The MCP server for TYPO3 makes your pages, content and records accessible to your agent – for reading and writing.
Which AI agents can I use?
Any MCP-capable client – for example Claude, ChatGPT, Le Chat, Gemini or tools such as Cursor. The extension has been tested with models from Anthropic, OpenAI, Mistral and Google.
Can the agent accidentally publish something?
No. All content changes are automatically staged in a TYPO3 workspace and only published after explicit approval. Uploaded files only appear on the website once approved content uses them.
Which TYPO3 version is required?
TYPO3 13.4 LTS or 14 and PHP 8.2 or higher. If your website runs on an older version, we take care of the update.
Where is my data stored?
Your content stays in your TYPO3 on your server. Which data is sent to the AI provider depends on the agent you choose – we advise you on a GDPR-compliant selection.
Do my editors need technical knowledge?
No. Anyone who can use a chat can maintain their website. During onboarding, we show your team how to phrase requests and review changes.
