Since the end of April 2026, all TYPO3 versions below version 12 are officially no longer supported for free. Since April 30, 2026, this also applies to TYPO3 version 12 – free support has expired.
Only current version with free support: TYPO3 13 (until October 2027).

TYPO3 13 or TYPO3 14?
TYPO3 13.4 LTS is the mature choice: in use since October 2024, compatible with all common extensions, free support until the end of 2027.
TYPO3 14 LTS is the future-proof option with the longest runway: free support until at least June 30, 2029. Since the version has only been available since April 2026, not all third-party extensions have been fully ported yet – ideal for new projects without complex extensions; if you have an extensive portfolio of custom extensions, we'll discuss this in the initial consultation.
Both versions bring:
- Support for PHP 8.3 and 8.4 – significantly better performance
- Revamped backend – more intuitive for editors (redesigned again from the ground up in TYPO3 14)
- Content Blocks as a modern replacement for the discontinued Mask extension
- Enhanced accessibility support (from TYPO3 14)
